Field coats have been the choice of outdoor enthusiasts for over a century. But we wanted one that was more comfortable and more environmentally friendly, so we decided to make our own. In short order, we found the ideal material: a sturdy, elegant recycled wool blend that breathes well, sheds fog or light rain, and keeps you warm in cool to cold conditions. Our warmest and most durable layer, the new Field Coat has a soft lofted weave that is easy to wear and thick enough for tough outdoor work, similar to heavy fleece but with a more natural feel. Made using our unique dye-free process that eliminates the need for harmful chemical dyes, the coat features a double back yoke for added strength, comfort, and weather protection; box pleats at the back of the shoulders provide excellent freedom of movement, whether on a weekday on Broadway or a weekend off the grid. Other details include a flat collar, two buttoned chest pockets, two side pockets, single-button cuffs, and a square hem; the buttons are black with caramel marbling.

Wash in cold water and hang to dry. To reduce energy and water consumption, we recommend washing only when necessary. Less washing also gives your garments a longer lifespan.
